History
Airius Intranet Center was built at Netscape in 1996 as a way to debut the new AppFoundry. Along with the tools was a new idea, the concept of doing distributed internal business over the web, in a browser. In 1995, Netscape went public and shocked the world with the Communicator browser. After Microsoft started giving their competitive solution away, Airius was a working example of how to use the internet within business. It helped to define Netscape as a company that knows business, and Airius was the example, to this day found in millions of servers sold by Netscape, Sun and now Oracle.
